I've never written to a magazine
before, but I was so impressed by this
one article I felt I must.
I'm a firefighter for a very large
city and am amazed at how both
unprepared and (worse) unaware
people are when it comes to
planning for anything that is out of
the ordinary daily grind of life.
Almost every point Bergeron
mentioned in his January 2017
Developing Perspectives deserves a
complete article on that subject alone
and the implications it could have to
your readers. If the general
population knew how quickly fire,
police, and medical resources were
used up for even a midsized event,
they would hopefully spend a little
more time thinking and planning for
some of the things Bergeron
mentioned about being prepared for
Hopefully, he planted the seeds
for a few more people to learn a
skillset, prepare, or just consider what
they may do in these cicumstances.
Maybe they'll contribute a article on
one of these topics and we will all
Thanks for the great magazine
Thanks for taking the time to
write. I always appreciate feedback.
It's usually limited to one or two
emails a publication, so I guess you're
my source this month.
I'll post your note to the user
feedback column. Perhaps that will
spur on a few readers to contribute.
Otherwise, you're most welcome
to write an article that addresses one
or more issues from your perspective
as a firefighter, like how to handle
electrical fires. It has to have an
otherwise, it's your call. The magazine
does pay for contributions, BTW,
either in cash or with subscriptions.
