My cat, Maxwell (Figure 1), has an overactive thyroid; a condition called
hyperthyroidism. The cure for him (at least for the last two years) has been
giving him pills of Methimazole. All cat owners know that giving a cat a pill is
no fun for anybody. When he requires four pills a day and each one costs
$0.50, it’s like shoving two dollar bills down his throat every day. It’s even more
expensive when the pills are ground up in tuna.
